Ginn’s work consists of a rigorous investigation of survival skills; an ongoing photographic narrative exploring issues of self-empowerment, immediate connections to the physical world, and contemporary American identity, particularly from a woman’s perspective. Photographs, workshops, performance work and handcrafted objects are combined to create a three dimensional sensory experience for the audience. Ginn currently resides in NC. She has recently exhibited in New York and Atlanta.
Laura Ginn earned an MFA in photography from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Her work is included in private collections in the United States and abroad.
